Farm/Wildlife

In addition to the Caravan Park, we also run a working beef and sheep farm. Calves are generally born in early spring, and kept on farm until they are about two years old. Throughout the season you will regularly see cows and calves in the fields surrounding the Caravan Park.

As well as cows, we also have a flock of mule sheep. The lambs are all born in March to April, so if you visit us early in the season you may be lucky enough to see a lamb born for yourself!

We also have Tom and Joe the alpacas, Jasmine and Georgie the Shetland ponies, Josie and Ramsey the donkeys, Grace the horse, four very friendly KuneKune pigs (Alfie, Lily, Truda and Bethel), and a very varied brood of free range chickens.

All of our animals live in the fields surrounding the Caravan Park, so are often around for you to say hello to! During your visit you will be able to feed the Kunekune pigs; their favourite foods include apples, carrots and bananas. You are also able to pet the ponies and alpacas over the fence. We regularly hatch new chicks during the spring, so these too are available to view when they have been moved to their outdoor brooder. Free range eggs from our chickens are for sale in the shop, however you’ll have to be fast as they sell out very quickly!

Follow our Facebook and Twitter pages for more regular updates on all of our farm animals.
