Tourers and Motorhomes - Frequently Asked Questions

How long is the season?

We are open from the 1st of March to the 31st of October.

Can I visit the park during the closed season?

You can visit your tourer when you wish. During the closed season the water is drained down but electric and gas are still available.

Are dogs permitted on the Caravan Park?

Dogs are permitted but must be kept on a lead at all times, and exercised off the Park. We are a very dog friendly Caravan Park, but as this is a working farm we need to be strict about our dog policy.

Is Wi-Fi available?

Wi-Fi is available and is free to use. 100% coverage cannot be guaranteed due to rural location, weather conditions and changing flora. These can cause variable signal strength.

Do you store caravans over winter?

No. We only store the caravans we have on pitch. If you bring a seasonal tourer to Mickleton Mill, you can leave it on pitch over winter for no additional cost.

What are the arrival and departure times?

Pitches are let from 1.30pm to 12 noon the following day. We ask tourers to arrive before 7.00pm. Please ask when you book to see if there is a possibility to stay later or arrive earlier.

Do all pitches have hard standing and electrical hook up?

Yes. All pitches have hard standings, with space for an awning and electrical hook up.

What is the electricity supply?

16amp

Where are the nearest villages/shops/pubs?

The closest village is Mickleton, around 0.75 miles away, although within 5 miles there is a large selection of pubs and restaurants. Middleton in Teesdale is around 3 miles away and has everything you may need for a short stay. Barnard Castle is only 8 miles away.

Is it best to book if I wish to bring my tourer?

Yes. It is best to pre-book your pitch as we only have a limited number of tourer pitches available.

Do I need an appointment to view?

During the season there is someone on park every day, however to ensure they are free at the time you wish to visit it is recommended that you get in touch beforehand.
